Brian R. Baylor is a former management executive with Caterpillar, Inc., and founder of Howarth LLC, the company responsible for developing The Leader’s Equation.  Brian has diverse national and international experience in the areas of marketing, human resources, operations and general management.  He most recently led a manufacturing joint venture company in Tianjin, China, so successful the company was highlighted in the Caterpillar Annual Report.  Additionally, Brian has shared The Leader’s Equation principles with several organizations around the world, including the China Lean Manufacturing Conference, the Caterpillar Corporate Employee Engagement Conference, The Conference Board’s Global Engagement Conference and the DuPont Global Production System Conference.  The Charlotte, N.C., resident today assists organizations of all sizes and scope with defining and delivering measurable definitions of excellence.

Fenn M. Allen’s passion is helping organizations and individuals lead in such a way as to deliver outstanding results while leaving a positive and lasting legacy.  Fenn has worked in a variety of accounting and finance roles with corporations that include United States Gypsum, Lord Corporation and Spectrum Control, Inc.  In 1996, Fenn’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to create Allen Insurance Group in the greater Charlotte area as a representative of Erie Insurance.  Fenn graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance.  His success in the corporate world and as a small business owner brings invaluable experience to The Leader’s Equation team and clients.

Dr. Charles Cai is a lean solutions expert known globally for helping organizations deliver break-through results.  He earned his chemical engineering degree in China, his Masters degree from Stanford University in fuel cell research and his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of New Mexico.  Dr. Cai currently resides in Augusta, GA and has worked internationally in a variety of roles including; academic research, new product development, quality management and general management. He is best known as one of the most successful lean solutions practitioners in the Asia-Pacific region and is closely aligned with Dr. Jeffrey Liker University of Michigan professor and author of “The Toyota Way”.  Dr. Cai has also worked closely with The Leader’s Equation team on several lean projects.  The ability for Leader’s Equation principles to help multiply and sustain lean and 6 sigma results lead Dr. Cai to join The Leader’s Equation team’s efforts to help organizations deliver excellence.
